HAMLET-The Clown Prince

Had been to Rajat Kapoor's directed play HAMLET-The Clown Prince play today. A comedy in English based on Shakespeare's famous play. This Rajat Kapoor's play is about a company of clowns who decide to do something out-of-the-box and enact a shakespearian tragedy. It was definitely worth a watch.

Everything about the play was good; the script, the dialogues, the fillers, casts and the best part that I liked the most was, when actors were trying to involve the audience into the context of the story. There was a situation in the play when HAMLET (who is the hero of our story here) is in a dilemma whether to forgive or take revenge of his father’s death, who was killed by his own brother. HAMLET asks the audience that they can imagine how difficult the situation would be when it is very tough to decide whether to DO or NOT to DO things. He asks do they have any such problem of DO or NOT to DO kinda and bouncing with his own humorous examples: Whether to shave or Wax the legs, whether to wear shoes with socks or without the socks, and many such fillers during the entire play.
