Sadhana....

"Minutes of meeting" – 1^st meet of SHAKTHI-Hyd 14^th Sep 08

Members attended: Ashwin, Apur, Gaurav OHHH!!!….what a way to kick start the first meet here. Really its been inspiring for everyone here. Though only 3 people turnedup, lesser than the expected magic figure due to a festive day, but things did shape well by the time we reached “Sadhana”. Before reaching Sadhana, we the 3members discussed on the present scenario what Shakthi is bound to and the future scenario as well. Apur suggested for visiting the schools like Kendriya Vidyala and display plays and seminars. Ashwin made some strong points on distributing the pamphlet s which conveys the motto of Shakthi and which does the dual purpose of spreading the SHAKTHI brand name and real motive of Social awareness.

Soon after the discussions, we instantly moved to SADHANA- a non-profit, non-commercial voluntary organization dedicated to the welfare of the mentally challenged. The Institute seems to have started with 2 students in 1996, and today the Institute is serving 150 mentally challenged persons. We were overwhelmed by the way the management takes care of every child. truly !nspiring!!! Firstly, we all three introduced ourselves to all the children, and followed by some fun time. Under the age group of 6-15, these children displayed their skills by singing the movie numbers and dancing to their own tunes. The excitement and the fun amplified as the time progressed and for us it was truly worth 90mins. Though I had been to that place personally times, but this time it was more refreshing, and I strongly believe that SADHANA would always be associated with SHAKTHI for the years to come….

Time n Tide @waits......

I am not abt to apologize for my present status, besides being so sick abt the same. Living in no man’s land is truly a valiant act, but only to a certain extent. Things can be perceived in any manner(even ironic way sometimes), as it discovers the best in you, and this best inturn depends on one’s endurance, conviction and self motivation. As metioned already in my previous blog that since last 3 months I have been in no man’s land and dreadfully looking forward to the reach the land where livelihood is obvious.

Reason for naming the post as "Time and Tide awaits is bcoz, Time n Tide does wait for a man who is on no-man's land :) ……
