Sonu Nigam...the$ensation...

Sonu Nigam’s another song has gone nostalgia in me. The song from ‘Bombat’ (kannada) –‘Maati nalli helalareno….’ He is truly so gifted. I am awestruck by his so called Spashta kannada(pure kannada). Even a kannadiga like me would sometimes find it difficult to spell those lexis when I imitate those songs. Is it jus being professional or something beyond that, which makes a singer like him sing songs of different tounge with such an ease.
He has been my heart-throb since the time he started singing for T-series. The song from Bewafa sanam-Accha sila diya tune mere pyar ka..man!!! that was his ever best. Even the song from Sangharsh-‘Mujhe raat din bas mujhe chahati ho’ was no lesser. Since then he is on cloudnine in my outlook. Other Kannada songs of his, which I like the most are:

Mungarumale songs( title song and Anisutide yako indu)

Milana song: Ninnindale

Gaalipata songs (Jeeva kaleva and Minchagi neenu baralu)

Looking forward for many such songs in the years to come from the man with a voice of GOD!

Bombaat Maatinalli helalarenu
NINNINDALE
Mungaru Male
Anisuthide

UDUPI trip....

South Karnataka darshane:

Touring and moving places has been a part of my life, whatever the short span that I have lived till date. I could recall the different places I had been till date for a reason or a season. But the places are restricted to south India only and aspire to trip north region sometime later in the near future.

My recent visit to Bengaluru and Udupi was truly a unforgettable one. Been to the places for a change… from my routine life. Time @ Malpe beach was truly awesome. The amazing sunset, the fragrance of surrounding atmosphere, and the aroma of sand really urge for the time to pause, and that desire comes naturally to every individual in vain( as if time did wait for one anytime). It can turn any illiterate Tom, Dick and Harry to a philosopher..... very powerful indeed.

Udupi darshan was peaceful ,and was blessed to get the glimpse of all that I had been longing for. The hospitality @ temple was super, with all basic facilities for visiting pilgrims. Wish to have such similar short trips to unfamiliar places in the near future.

Zakhm dene ka andaz kuch aisa hai. Zakhm dekar puchte hai ab hal kaisa hai. Kisi ek se gila kya karna yaro, sari dunia ka mizaz ek jaisa hai..

Being a 'MONK'

The novel-“The Monk who sold his Ferrari” has made an impact on me personally. It has indeed changed my opinion & perception towards life and my approach aswell, and won’t wonder if I see any change in my lifestyle. It is truly a magnificent work by Robin Sharma. It explains how a sober macho transforms into a monk and a complete revolution in his lifestyle and attitude by knowing the true purpose of life, and living it.

Some of the awestruck lines in the novel were:

  • The Chinese character for 'crisis' is comprised of two sub-characters: one that spells 'danger' and another that spells 'opportunity.' I guess that even the ancient Chinese knew that there is a bright side to the darkest circumstance — if you have the courage to look for it."

  • "Absolutely. To transcend pain, you must first experience it. Or to put it another way, how can you really know the joy of being on the summit of the mountain unless you have first visited the lowest valley. Get my point?" "To savor the good one must know the bad. But I suggest that you stop judging events as either positive or negative. Rather, simply experience them, celebrate them and learn from them. Every event offers you lessons. These little lessons fuel your inner and outer growth. Without them, you would be stuck on a plateau.

I wonder if the book has impacted any other readers in the same manner, as it did on me……no prize for guessing it, as it would hav certainly did. I doubt any person would be looking at this very blog someday, and aspire to read this novel, and then I certainly feel that I played a similar role of the Monk(In the novel) who preached the spiritual lessons about life which he learned from his Eastern sages and promised of conveying the same message to others.

This book would certainly enrich your life……
